5. Email Marketing. This is the best way to stay in touch with people. Even only a monthly newsletter is a good internet marketing promotion.

6. Free Items on your Web Site. Depending upon the type of business you operate, this might be a free gift, a lost leader, or information items (fact sheets, guides, articles, special reports, white papers, e-books).

7. Media Relations Program. Build relationships with local reporters so they will come to you as a local expert when necessary. Regularly publish press releases.

8. Social Networking, social bookmarking, blogging and other Web 2.0 tactics, including commenting on other sites, blogs, etc. This is the newest approach to internet marketing promotion, and the most effective.

9. Article Marketing. This is a very important way to build visibility and to build more links coming to your web site.

10. Paid Advertising. In addition to using free classified ads, you will almost certainly want to supplement your other internet marketing promotion by placing a few paid banner or other ads on key sites that are relevant to your business.

If you pay attention to each of these kinds of internet marketing promotions, you stand a greater chance of being successful.
