Don’t Submit Your Articles If You Don’t Check These 3 Things First

Posted by Robert S. Singleton on March 11, 2010

Listen, you don’t need to be a writer to see the writing on the wall. When it comes to trends you look for patterns. One pattern that’s resurfacing is communication technology, and information based marketing is very popular right now. So if your writing articles, making submissions, and making publications, everyone seems to want what you have and that’s information. Marketing is one of the oldest ways of getting buyers but it still works well even today.

It’s getting easier to put your information out there and everyday there seems to be a new tool to help you do just that. But there’s one thing you should remember. There’s more than meets the eye here. First of all many people make mistakes that keep them from submitting their content correctly to the directories:

1. Not having a clear idea of what the reasons are for writing and for promoting the articles.

In article writing, there are three key benefits why you are promoting them; branding, lead generation and promotion, which are all part of your optimization efforts. But there is only one reason why you write an article, and that is to inform your audience.

If the article is not focused on this primary and most important purpose, it will fail to achieve the three promotion benefits because no one will be interested in reading them. You need to figure out first how to get people to read what is in your article, then make them click on your resource box. You can achieve this by producing better contents.

2. Dropping the ball when it comes to article marketing and all of it’s opportunities.

Now it’s not a secret that with articles you can get more links to your web page. But something that’s not as clear is the fact that visitors and better search engine results can be had from that same article. What you’ll want to do is think about exactly where you want to place your keywords. Too many, and you’ve failed. Now anchor texts are a very effective technique. The problem with anchor texts is that not all of the directories support the links.

It’s really a good feeling knowing that you’re getting all those links back to your site. The key here is to write good content so that you have a chance of getting picked up by large audiences. When you place other products or brand names in your articles you will have a good opportunity for leverage as long as your articles are of good quality. Plus you get the benefits of better search engine results.

But these things do not put much money in your pocket. There are other factors that can turn your article marketing efforts into an opportunity that can boost your earnings. Not just increase the number of visitors to your site. Start out with a plan and see to it that your article will serve the function that you intended it to have.

3. What happens when there is nothing in the content for your readers.

If you think that links back to your site, and any visitors it can bring, is all that’s needed to make a success your wrong. In fact not all of the article banks and directories accept content automatically.

Many of these article directories will have very special guidelines required before they will accept an article. I know what your thinking. That’s just a few so it’s all right. Well many times you can double or even triple your number of submissions by coming up with great content that these directories will be happy to include with their system. Let’s say one publisher has a readership of a hundred thousand or more. Do you think that would increase your potential audience?

When writing articles one of the best ways of being effective in your efforts is to write value. Find out what tip’s or information is needed and provide that in your articles. This way publishers will want your articles in their system. Doing whatever it takes like, following the publishers guidelines, spell checking, researching information, or even hiring someone to produce a great article for you.

So before you write your next article you may want to ask yourself if just a few more back links, and a little exposure, is enough for you? Or should you spend a little more time making great articles and enjoy a massive exposure level?

The world is waiting to see what you will create. Whatever you decide just make sure you give it your best.

If you like free content for your website, then make a straight line over to Articles and pick up your fair share of free unique articles.
