Bloggers: Can Private Label Articles Help You?
May 16, 2012 | Comments | Blogs & Blogging
You may have seen the term Private Label Rights articles or PLR articles mentioned in online communities lately. PLR articles are articles that you can buy (usually in packages or as part of a membership) to use in your online business. The appeal is that you may edit and use the articles as you wish.
What makes PLR different than using free reprint articles or hiring a ghostwriter? Well, compared to free reprint articles from places like EzineArticles.com or LadyPens.com, you do not need to link back to the author. And, unlike ghostwritten articles which can cost quite a bit, PLR articles only cost between $1-$2 each.
Once you understand the concept behind PLR articles, you can see why they are hot. Most people can envision the value of adding the articles to their blogs. But, did you know there are more ways to use PLR content than that? Let\’s cover a few of the more profitable ways you can use PLR articles in your internet business.
1. Send them in your weekly ezine. Need content for your newsletter or ezine? PLR articles to the rescue! Of course, if you\’re developing a relationship with your readers, you will want to edit the articles to make them your own voice. However, you can pull a section from a PLR article – use it as inspiration — and whip out a newsletter in minutes rather than in hours.
2. Create an ecourse. It\’s pretty simple to turn a PLR article or set of articles into an ecourse simply by loading them to your autoresponder. Start with something as simple as an article entitled \”7 Ways to Get More Web Traffic\”. Turn that into a 7 day ecourse that you can use to grow a list… and profit.
3. Create a print newsletter. My email inbox is full of junk. I skim it once a day and hope that I don\’t miss anything good. However, I do walk out to my mailbox every day when the postal carrier comes and I pour over my mail. Do you see an opportunity there? Why not send a printed newsletter in the mail and stand apart from the competition in your customer\’s minds? You can do it easily … with PLR.
4. Record a \”how to\” video. Quite a large number of videos on YouTube have been started from PLR articles. Why not? The PLR provider has basically given you an outline and talking points. All you have to do is to hit the \”record\” button.
5. Write a book. Did you know that a number of the non-fiction books on Amazon.com contain PLR articles in them? It\’s a fact. I know because my customers have told me that they\’ve used my PLR content in their books. Buy a report or article from a PLR site and use it as the foundation for a chapter in your book. It will save you time and make your book a reality a lot sooner.
Are your wheels spinning? It\’s easy to see the potential profits to be made by using PLR articles. The most difficult part of the process is finding a PLR source that provides the quality content that you\’re looking for. Don\’t be afraid to look around. You\’re certain to find top-notch PLR providers that you\’ll love. But, don\’t just close this and do nothing with the information. Use it and profit.
